A multi-purpose admixture for key coat preparation to one coat renders, also for bonding and waterproofing all renders, mortars and concrete for a wide variety of applications throughout the construction and civil engineering sectors.

 

Benefits

  • Excellent adhesion of renders, mortars and concrete, even on smooth substrates.
  • Waterproofs renders and mortars and improves resistance to oils, grease, fuel and dilute acids.
  • Passivation of steel rebars.
  • Lowers the modulus of elasticity and improves the resistance of mortar to tension, abrasion and impacts.
  • Allows for the construction of structures intended to be in contact (even permanently) with water or sea water (using the appropriate cement).
  • Limits shrinkage, crazing and chalking. n Solid content: 50%.

 

Technical Characteristics

  • Appearance: milky white liquid. n Density: 1.01 at 20oC.
  • Dry extract: 50% ± 2%.
  • Solubility: total in water.
  • pH: 9.5 ± 0.5.

 

Suitable for

  • Key coat for hydraulic coatings, screed and low absorption substrates.
  • Cement-based coatings.
  • To control suction on high absorption substrates such as lightweight aircrete blocks. n Waterproof coatings for tanking, reservoirs, holding tanks and swimming pools.
  • Bonding and waterproofing of render and plaster coatings.
  • Bonding cement screeds without the need for existing surface preparation.
  • Enhances screed for laying tiles.
  • Coating, re-profiling or re-shaping mortar for patching areas such as damaged corners of concrete.
  • Bonding mortar for repairing concrete (bridging mortar for construction joints). n Mortar for fixing/bonding prefabricated elements.
  • Pointing and filling mortar for voided masonry joints, chimney stacks or to form a mortar flashing.
  • Repair of concrete floors.

Precautions

  • Shake well before use.
  • Store product in frost-free conditions.
  • If product is accidentally frozen, place at +20oC and after several hours, shake well to ensure the products contents are evenly distributed and mixed.
  • Doses must conform with regulations in force for the relevant structures.
